Korea's only marine design contest,
"2021 Busan Marine Design Awards" will be held

DCB will hold the 2021 Busan Marine Design Awards to strengthen the competitiveness of the marine leisure industry, improve the level of marine design, and discover designs that fit the image of the marine capital Busan.

The competition is divided into two categories: designated and free match. The designated competition department is ▲Busan Marine Leisure BI and slogan development, and the free competition department includes ▲ leisure equipment design ▲ safety/industrial equipment design ▲ communication design. It can be applied as a general department and a student department by field.

Anyone interested in marine design can apply, and those who wish to participate can register their works on the contest website (mda.dcb.or.kr) by Friday, August 6.

The screening will select one of the total entries and award the grand prize. The general department and the student department (elementary, middle, and high school students) shall award gold, silver, and bronze awards for each designated and free competition field. Winners receive a plaque and prize money, and the grand prize money is 2 million won.

"We will once again recognize the necessity of marine design development for citizens and local companies through the Busan Marine Design Awards, the only marine design contest in Korea, and try to commercialize excellent award-winning works to build a design unique to Busan," said Kim Eun-Myung, head of the design promotion team.
