Successfully host the first Busan Youth Startup Competition
- Finding good practices for entrepreneurship clubs to develop creative career paths and foster a spirit of a challenge for teenagers
- Fresh ideas for solving social problems stood out.
Design Council Busan held an award ceremony for the "1st Busan Youth Startup Competition" on the 28th.
The "1st Busan Youth Startup Competition" was held for about two months since July to enhance awareness of entrepreneurship experience education and spread consensus by discovering excellent cases of student start-up club operation and providing opportunities for a mutual exchange to develop creative career development and foster a spirit of a challenge for teenagers.
Under the theme of "Social Problems You Want to Solve," the start-up competition screened works by a total of 35 start-up club teams from 11 elementary, 13 middles, and 11 high schools received in the preliminary round, and selected four teams by elementary, middle and high school (Grand Prize 1, Best Prize 1, Excellence Prize 2) through non-face-to-face presentation screening of 18 teams that entered the finals.
The 「NICE Foundation」 team of Changshin Elementary School, which proposed ‘Omnipotent Thermometer Milk bottle,’ the 「Enthusiastic chocolate」 team of Namil Middle School, which presented ‘Automatic Body Temperature Measurement Sensor’ and the 「Clap」 team of Busan tourism High School, which proposed ‘House Forest(game application),’ were awarded grand prizes. Design Council Busan awarded them a certificate of merit and a reward.
Bae, Ki-Beom the general manager of Design Promotion Division said, “I applaud all the teams that have grown up experiencing the intense agony over the past two months who participated in the 1st Busan Youth Startup Competition," adding, "I hope all participants will continue to challenge themselves with higher dreams and succeed, becoming pioneers who can reach out to our society with their excellent capabilities."
